The core curriculum covers the traditional business management disciplines with an emphasis on critical analysis and interdisciplinary problem-solving. Each course also contains the ethical, technological, communications, and leadership skills necessary for success in its discipline. The core serves as the foundation for the individualized coursework throughout the program.

Specialization Courses (3 Courses)

The areas of Specialization provide expertise in a functional or interdisciplinary business area. The 3-course sequences were developed with industry experts as a unified set of courses which cover all of the important areas of your specialization. This provides the breadth of knowledge and depth of expertise you need in your field. MBA students can select one of the following areas, or if desired, can work with their advisor to develop an individual specialization that best suits their needs:

  • Customized Specialization

 

Capstone Option

As one of the Specialization Courses, MBA students may select a capstone option within their area of study that allows them to reinforce their knowledge and skills.

 

Internship

Students can apply what they have learned, gain valuable work experience and develop transferable business skills. Professional seminars facilitate the linkage between practical application and academic theory.

 

Master's Project

Students can work with their research advisor to explore a business case from their firm. This includes topics on research design, data analysis, and presentation of findings.
