Course Outline

Part I. What a CV actually is (and what it isn't)!

We begin by learning about the technical requirements of a CV with a focus on the Swiss / Basel market. This portion is more lecture-based. Then we'll look at the different components of a CV. We'll also talk about the "hidden traps" as well as how expats and +1's should address their unique careers.

Part II. The Right Person CV for the Right Job.

In part 2, we'll work together to position your accomplishments according to the actual jobs you're seeking. How can we make your CV accurately and comprehensively reflect your best-fit for the job. This is done in a group format -- discussion based with team participation.

- - Lunch Break - -

Part III. The Secret Sauce?

After a well-deserved lunch break, we'll talk about the one thing nobody ever talks about, but you can (and should) do!

Part IV. Let's Get Writing - Your MegaCV™

The last part is practical application where we'll work to bring it all together. You'll look at your CV with fresh eyes, and start making improvements right away.  With feedback and support from the instructor, you'll start the perfection process. Working in groups, you'll get to see the process and progress from the outside looking in, too.
